Be sure to include certain important information on your baby shower invitations no matter what form they take. Include the names of the expectant mother and host or hosts, shower location, date and time, directions, contact information for responses and questions, baby registry, shower theme and dress. Make sure you also plan for enough time to either order or prepare your baby shower invitations and mail them out well in advance of the shower date. You should send them out around two months in advance of the shower and allow guests two weeks to respond. Then you will have enough lead time to invite others who may be on a back up guest list and give either your shower caterer or yourself a head count.
